Adik. Dapat gagawa ako ng sample article para sa "The Manresan", pero wala akong maisip na matinong topic. Tapos napadpad pa ako sa thread ni Marvin Cruz sa Peyups forum. Mga adik yung mga nag-p-post dun. May manager, may die-hard fan, may nagpapantasya. Gusto ko sanang makisama or mag-post dun, kaso locked na yung thread. Salbahe.

Ano'ng mga nakita ko sa thread? Ayun nga, mga "managers", die-hard fans, at mga nagpapantasya. Define each.

Die-hard Fans
Yung mga taong... nagagalingan kay Cruz. Magaling nga naman yung tao. Mga adik din sila. Define adik. Well, sinasabi nilang diyan lang sa Katipunan nakatira yung tao. Stalker? Nakita daw nila yung tao sa UP gym, may practice daw. Adik, stalker nga. Nandun yung teammates niya, yung mga hindi ko kilala, pati na rin si Jireh Ibañes. Bakit ako, hindi ko nakikita? Ang daya! HIndi nila tanggap na si JV Casio ang naging MVP nung season na 'yun. Para sa kanila, si Cruz pa rin ang MVP. At hindi magbabago yun. How loyal.

Managers
Ito yung mga taong nagbabantay ng thread ni Cruz. Teka, bakit by last name? Marvin na nga lang. Bawat post ng mga fans, tinitingnan, at makalipas ang ilang minuto, sasang-ayunan. Ito rin yung mga taong ipinagmamayabang na nakakaalam ng cellphone number niya. At tinututukan kung may load ba siya o wala. Kung pupunta sila sa kung saan man kasama ang ilan sa mga die-hard fans, at nakita nila si Marvin, sila yung unang makikipag-usap. Buti na lang "down-to-earth at malapit sa fans" itong taong 'to eh, kung hindi maiinis lang siya sa kakasunod ng mga tao sa kanya. *EDIT!* Manager nga niya yung namamahala ng thread. Nakita ko sa blog nung person. Adik.

Nagpapantasya
Mga taong "crush na crush" (este, "love na love") si Marvin. Sumasang-ayon sila sa mga die-hard fans na dapat siya ang MVP, pero may kadugtong. "... Gwapo ka pa rin." Adik. Ito rin yung mga taong sa tingin ko ay may picture kasama siya, at ipinagmamayabang sa buong forum. Yung mga may kapasidad na mag-isip ng adjective na related sa beauty at idinudugtong sa pangngalan niya. "Flawless pa rin!" Minsan, kapag sa tingin nila ay kailangan nilang mag-hinay-hinay, ganito ang nilalagay nila. "****less!" Adik.

Hindi ko na tinapos yung pagbabasa ng buong thread, kasi 40+ pages na, at matatawa at maiinis lang ako sa pagka-adik nila. At naiinis pa rin ako kasi UP alumni lang ang pwedeng mag-post. At hindi na nga pala ako pwedeng mag-post kasi sinara na nila yung thread. Sabi ko nga kanina, salbahe.

Sa PBAFO nga rin eh, nung tiningnan ko yung thread nila, ganun din. Kaso puro mga nagpapantasya lang at die-hard fans. Teka, bakit ko tiningnan yung thread? Mod ako ng kabilang forum, eh ako yung naatasang mag-fill up ng kulang na thread ng ibang players. Hindi ko alam kung paano yung format ng thread, at hindi ko alam kung paano i-spell ang "marvelous" (baka mamaya double L eh!), kaya tiningnan ko na lang dun. Eh bakit ako naging mod ng forum? Ibang kwento na yun. ;D

Dad's jerseys.

Last night, while my parent are eating dinner, I saw some of my dad's jerseys when he was in college. I was shocked, partly because it has the UP symbol in it. But the size of the jerseys almost matched my size, so it's been intriguing why my dad is that small during his college years, considering his built now. (Dad, if you're reading this, I'm not mocking your built before!)

Anyways, here are the jerseys that he wore before.

That's the jersey he had when he played for his course team, BS Agriculture. I don't know why it's "Aggie", but hey, that's NOT my dad's name. I think it's connected to Agriculture. :D

That's the jersey of the UPLB Varsity team. He's been very active in basketball during these years. Wait, there's more.

Self-explanatory. Men's dorm.

Alright. I don't know why the picture's rotated 90 degrees to the left. Anyways, that jersey was, I think, when he played for UPLB. I'll try to ask him later.


Four jerseys. Four years. Wow. It makes me wonder why he didn't join UAAP or PBA. But if he did, history would've changed. My dad would've been a coach, and our lives would be prolific. And I don't want that. I love my life now. And besides, I'd rather stick to being a fan that being the coach's daughter. At least I get to fantasize without anyone knowing. :D

Marigen Ibañes?

Would you look at that. Someone changed my last name. Who could it be?

Marcus, haven't I told you? If you're gonna change my last name, make it decent, like... Dillinger!

Anyways. I don't know what's the big deal with Mr. Ibañes. (Can't believe I'm so formal.) Ever since he got ESF'd (ejected, suspended, fined) for punching Cyrus Baguio (I still hate you.), I've been campaigning justice. Y'know, just for fun. Come on, look at my Twitter and you'll see tons of "Justice for..." tweets.

I don't actually like him 'cause of looks (Jared and Fona are much better, y'know!), but I can't deny the fact that I like him 'cause he's from UP. UP! (:O) Anywho...

It's the 5th of June. And 4 days later, it's the 9th. You know what'll happen on the 9th? The dreaded school. Nooooo!! (:O)

Losses and Gains.

Well, this is the first post of the monts, and since it's June already, it means that school is near. Did I say SCHOOL? Yep, that second home, that institution, that building that is the site of almost every learning experience...

Anyway, anyhow, we can't deny that fact that the first day's nearing... And since the title of this post is "Losses and Gains", let's talk about what we'll lose and what we'll gain when we go back to school again.

LOSSES.
We'll lose our free free time. Summer gave us the opportunity to do and have whatever we want. Long sleep hours, late sleeping time, unlimited internet, gimmicks... All these would be gone and will be gone for 10 months.
We'll lose our peace of mind? Why? Tests. Assignments. Projects. Lectures. Not to mention freakishly strict teachers and new administration. (Manresans, just so you know, we'll have a new directress-principal.)

GAINS.
Don't dwell on the losses. In these 10 months of staying in school, we'll gain knowledge. Alright, give me the "Duh" look. But it's true!
Add new experiences, friends, not to mention enemies. And we'll gain money when we're given allowance! Well, if you save some.
