first impressions on PBA thugs.

[ughh. ham. mmm. wanna eat it, but i can't.]

since my teeth hurt too much and i can't comfort myself by means of eating a lot, i'll post some of my first impressions with some PBA players. let's go! aiiight!

daredevil's first impressions!

1. on Dondon Hontiveros - his name has too much "on". and he looks like my classmate.
   
2. on Jared Dillinger - is he related to Joan Dillinger of "Split Second"? and he looks like a hobo. but now... he's a total hottie. (haha, girl talk.)
   
3. on Bonbon Custodio - does he copy Hontiveros (check the first names)? and he looks like a teddy bear.
   
4. on Jimmy Alapag - is looking like a mouse the reason why he's called "mighty mouse"? SORRY GUYS!
5. on Macmac Cardona - yabang. yabang. yabang.
6. on Renren Ritualo - he looks like an owl. and a Year 3 ACP cadet. right, blueflower?
7. on Harvey Carey - he looks like my music teacher. only cleaner.
   
8. on LA Tenorio - butiki. butiki. butiki.
9. on Larry Fonacier - cute sana, pero hindi. and i get confused with his last name. FINANCIER.
10. on James Yap - is he such a big deal?

stupid as it may sound, but i had fun formulating those impressions. walk down memory lane, remembering what i say to them, and all that. not to mentions laughing at the stupid comments. aight?

the "slash".

yesterday was no ordinary day for a PBA fanatic. why? there's a doubleheader on a monday. in PBA schedules, there are games ONLY on wednesday, friday, and sunday. there are also games on thursday and saturday, but only one game. and it's usually held outside manila.

first game: Ginebra vs BK
nothing much. except that Ginebra won, and Cyrus Baguio is with them. he's formerly from BK.

second game: TnT vs RoS
the big game, for me. it was a tight game from the very beginning. in the first three quarters, the Elasto Painters were leading. the biggest lead was 10. but then...

announcer: *buzzer* substitution, Jared Dillinger for Harvey Carey (i think).

let the real game begin. while he was playing, i quoted the commentator saying:

That's why he's called "The Daredevil"!

well, he did pretty well. i learned that he's called such because his favorite (and most wonderfully executed) move is the "slash". how is it done? it's like climbing an imaginary flight of stairs then shooting the ball in mid-air. when he did it, there's a defender who fouled him. even though you'd see it as if he fouled the defender. but no. and he gets the charity.

so, they won. 102-96. the reason why the Texters grabbed the lead is...

The Painters had their last taste of the lead at 96-94 before Dillinger scored on a short stab, Alapag nailed a charity then Peek also scored from short range as the Texters took the lead to stay at 99-96.

as you all know, i'm an inquisitive person. (what?) and i have the tendency to ask questions, even if it's just rhetorical. so i present to you my list of rhetorical q's!

so, there's a significant thing happening tomorrow. and i can't wait for it. what is it, anyway? well, tomorrow is the Beermen's game against the Tigers. in Dubai. damn, it's so far. and it's a desert. OMGandhi, Bonbon would have something in his eye (as in puwing) every time they go to the desert! HAHA. [thanks a lot for the fact, Febz. Almost-nephew.]

anyways, at least there's a simultaneous game in the Araneta. i get to see "Dirty Larry" Fonacier. BAMBAMBAM. with the signature Motolite guy line...

okay. i won't deny the fact that tomorrow is also my birthday. so, i'm not a baby anymore. i'm 13. and... i think it's time to give my top 10 12-year-old moments.

THE AMOUREUX TOP 10 LIST OF 12-YEAR-OLD MOMENTS

1. STILL ALIVE AND KICKING.

   after the sicknesses, depressions, and the like, i'm still here. standing strong. not tall (i'm only 5 feet), but proud. LET'S GO!
   

2. Leave the old, take the new.

   i left my old friends, who are bad influences. i just can't see a bright future with them. and i went along with the people whom i became close to during the Cultural Show practices. and i'm feeling good with them. i thank the Lord for sending me these people. at least they're not bad influences.

3. Singing a solo part in the Cultural Show.

   it's my first time in 5 years, so it's something memorable. and with good (i mean, great) feedback from the crowd, it's something to remember.

4. Fight and make up.

   i get into fights with almost everyone who's important to me at the moment. edelweiss, miharu-chan, blueflower, even with my adviser! you know what i mean, right? well, at least it's all done. i feel better. but the fights with my adviser? that makes me feel like a daredevil. well, i AM a daredevil, ain't i?

5. Once you pop, you can't stop.

   last January 23, my dad brought us to our first PBA game. well, at first i thought it's baduy 'cause it's like a local version of the NBA. but hey, i don't know what changed my mind (wait, i think it's Hontiveros). anywho, it changed my mind. and i can't stop not talking about it. tell me about it.

6. Bloguru-ing for the first time.

   i found out about Bloguru during December, i think. and i found miharu-chan's blog. and i was like, wow, i wanna be here. and poof, she gave me an invite. and from there, well, i started blogging SERIOUSLY. i've been owning about 10 livejournals, 1 imeem blog, 1 blogspot page, and a multiply blog. but i've never been serious except this one. and i've met people from other places. how's that for sheer blogging?

7. Be sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

   i got confirmed on January 21. it was a great experience, being sealed with the 7 gifts. and the practices, not to mention the "Sir Noe move", were great. except for our #10 moment...

8. Still in the pilot section.

   it may be hard, but hey, for a 12-year-old, it's an accomplishment. imagine, a 12-year-old sophomore in the pilot section? they may call it queer, but for me, it's a good thing. kind of.

9. Bring it back to life!

   with regards to my other blog, i've been using it last year and i think i should give it another shot. so, it's still up-and-going, and if you wanna check it out, well, here it is.

10. It's just an alibi. A white lie.

    you see, during the practices, there's this guy who kept on complimenting my voice. i think it's alright, but during the St. Paul event in Araneta, he kept on asking me about my favorite flower. i don't have one, so i said none. he kept on asking until i got fed up. and then the next day, he gave me flowers. assorted, like he was going to give it to the cemetery. attached is a note saying, "you're the girl i want to be with forever."

    i don't like stuff like that. and besides, the guy is an EMO, he reeks (you could smell him from a mile away and faint, no kidding), and he's fat. he doesn't even have any of the Dillinger traits! so, i talked to him, told him not to court me, and he's fine with that. then i went down and suddenly, our sister-adviser appeared. i don't wanna talk about the incident, so i told her that i asked the guy to buy it. well, it's a white lie. until she found out and reprimanded me and placed me under observation. it SUCKS. i can't eat during the whole week, while he has the guts to eat 4 meals in one recess! what kind of a jerk is that? so, i forgot about the thing, and good thing he's not texting me anymore. *phew*

    a bad one, but it will be in my top 10 for being the worst.

so, yes. a recap of the memorable things. some are not, but hey. who knows? :D

and as i close a chapter of my "baby" life today and start a new chapter tomorrow, i would like to thank everyone who made my life meaningful. whether directly or indirectly. may God bless you. CHEERS TO A FRUITFUL LIFE!

as i was typing my post "are you his girlfriend?", i received an e-mail regarding my friendster account. it read... "ranidel (de ocampo) is now your friend on friendster!" so i was in a major fanatic mode. define FANATIC.

then i checked his profile, which is now viewable. i looked at his friendlist, hoping to see more texters. then... i saw a profile named jared. and it had his picture during the victory party as the main pic. then the major fanatic mode became ECSTATIC fanatic mode. define ecstatic.

so i clicked on it, and much to my dismay...

well. about the holy week... nothing much. abstinence, and we went back to the province on Easter Sunday. which means that i spent 12 hours of that day doing nothing but think of three random things: the SMB-ROS game (which i didn't get the chance to watch), Jared, and the 17th. and by the way, i HATED going back to the province 'cause that means i'll see my cousins. you know, SECOND cousins. they don't give a damn 'bout me. and i don't give a damn 'bout them. give and take.

oh, and i'll post something interesting (kind of) after this. watch out! :D

FYI: From being the last man on the Warriors' bench last season, Jared has worked his butt out to earn a starting slot on the basketball team, which almost cut off his basketball scholarship. Currently (but not NOW), he has become one of the team's most reliable defenders and long-range shooters.

yesterday is April 6, 2009. i got used to writing the date 'cause in my other blog, they post the wrong date. i reported it already. but nooo, they don't do anything.

sunburn.

aaah. we went to Calamba (mmm, reminiscin') to swim. you know... 'cause it's summer. it was a good time, only that i had sunburn. shoulders and back. hot and aching. dammit. need muscle tape. HAHA. more about it here.

after swimming, we went home. but first we stopped by Festival Mall. my dad needs to talk to someone. so, we got there. and my brother's so sleepy that he doesn't wanna go. he kept on insisting that the mall is closed. but when we found out that the restaurants inside are still open, he became alert. MOM, LET'S EAT AT TERIYAKI BOY! yes. we did. and he made one remark during some time that made us all laugh.

emmie: hey, what's the name of the reporter in C/S9 who's in Caltex Top 5? you know, he's kind of dark, and has a long face... and he's always partnered with Lia Cruz... you know... [his name starts with a V!]

marc: *sleepishly* hmmm... NORMAN BLACK? *then sleeps*

that all cracked us up. sigh. what a brother.

if you read the post in my other blog, it states there that my brother kept on saying Fonacier. what?!? so, lemme explain why i get so irritated.

actually, i'm not just irritated. i'm also... well... i don't know. alright, he's kinda cute. but in my own perspective (or whatever they call it), he looks like a morph of LA Tenorio (butiki) and the Motolite commercial guy ("Isang Motolite nga, boss!") that's being aired in every game. and he's from Alaska. which was the Texters' rival during the Finals. aw, come on.
